Arcade Arena — SMS Terms

Last updated: September 15, 2026 · Consent form version arena-1.0

These terms cover the text message programs run by Secret Character LLC for Arcade Arena, a video game tournament night at the Zebra Cocktail Lounge in Bozeman, Montana. They apply when you tick a consent box at secretcharacter.dev/arena.

The two programs

These are separate. Ticking one never enrols you in the other.

1. Arcade Arena tournament texts

What you get: Match calls ("you're up"), a heads-up when you are two matches out, and final placings.
Frequency: About 4-8 messages on the night of the event.
Sender: Secret Character LLC.

2. Arcade Arena & Secret Character show announcements

What you get: Recurring marketing messages about future Arcade Arena nights and Secret Character shows.
Frequency: Up to 4 messages per month.
Sender: Secret Character LLC.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Whatever your mobile plan charges for text messages is what these cost you. Secret Character LLC does not charge you anything to join either program.

Opting out and getting help

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will get one confirmation message and then nothing further from that program.

Reply HELP to any message for help, or email [email protected].

You can also email us at any time and ask to be removed. Opting out of texts does not affect your spot in the bracket and does not cost you anything.

Consent is voluntary

Neither program is a condition of entering the Arcade Arena bracket, of attending the event, or of any purchase. Both checkboxes on the sign-up page start unchecked, and you can sign up with neither of them ticked. If you do, we call your name over the mic instead.

Carriers and delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and your signal, and neither Secret Character LLC nor any mobile carrier guarantees that a given message arrives. Do not rely on a text alone to know when your match is up — the night is also called over the mic and shown on the bracket board.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and the account holder of, or authorised user of, the mobile number you enter. Do not enter someone else's number.

Supported carriers

All major US carriers are supported. Carrier support can change without notice, and carriers are not liable for messages that do not arrive.

Your data

What we collect, how long we keep it, and who can see it is set out in the Arcade Arena Privacy Notice. The short version: your mobile information is never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that changes what you signed up for, we ask for consent again rather than assuming the old one carries over. Version changes are recorded with each consent record.
