Information We Collect

When you submit a form on our website, we collect:

• Preferences: Your selected content topics and communication channels
• Technical data: IP address, submission timestamp, consent form version

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to send you communications about the topics you selected, via the channels you consented to (email and/or SMS). If you submit a service inquiry, we also use your information to prepare proposals, provide project updates, and communicate about deliverables. We also use consent records to comply with legal requirements (CAN-SPAM Act, TCPA).

Third-Party Services

Your data is stored using Supabase (database hosting on AWS infrastructure). When we send emails or texts, we use third-party delivery services (SendGrid for email, Twilio for SMS). These providers process your data only on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your mobile information will never be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Data Retention

• Active subscribers: Your data is kept as long as you remain subscribed, plus 30 days after you unsubscribe.
• Consent records: Retained for 6 years after your last communication from us, as required for legal compliance.
• Opt-out records: Retained indefinitely so we never re-contact you without new consent.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal information
• Delete: Request deletion of your data (except consent records kept for legal compliance)
• Correct: Request correction of inaccurate information
• Opt out: Unsubscribe from email (click unsubscribe in any email) or SMS (reply STOP to any text)

Email Terms (CAN-SPAM)

Every marketing email we send will identify Secret Character LLC as the sender, include our mailing address, and contain a clear unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are honored within 10 business days.

SMS Terms (TCPA)

By checking the SMS consent box on our signup form, you provide prior express written consent to receive recurring automated promotional text messages from Secret Character LLC at the phone number you provide. This consent is not a condition of any purchase or service.

• Message frequency: Up to 4 messages per month
• Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan
• To opt out: Reply STOP to any message

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
