Arcade Arena — Privacy Notice

This notice covers the Arcade Arena sign-up page at
secretcharacter.dev/arena and the two
Arcade Arena text message programs. Arcade Arena is run by Secret Character LLC,
Bozeman, Montana. For anything else on secretcharacter.dev, see the
site-wide Privacy Policy.
The short version
Your mobile information will never be shared with or sold to third parties or
affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We use your number to run the tournament and, only if you asked for it, to tell you
about the next one. Nothing else.
What we collect when you sign up
- Your name or gamertag — optional, used on the bracket and in texts.
- Your mobile number — required, stored in E.164 format (+1…).
- Which boxes you ticked — the two opt-ins are recorded separately.
- Consent evidence — the date and time, your IP address, your browser's
user-agent string, the page URL, and the exact wording of the consent text shown to you,
with its version number.
We keep the consent evidence because carriers and regulators can ask us to prove that a
person agreed to receive a message, what they were shown when they agreed, and when.
That record is written once and never edited.
How we use it
- Running the night: seeding the bracket and, if you ticked box 1,
texting you when your match is coming up and the placings at the end.
- Telling you about the next one: only if you ticked box 2.
- Compliance: proving consent under the TCPA and CTIA rules, and
honouring opt-outs.
We do not use your number for automated decision-making, profiling, or advertising
targeting, and we do not upload it to advertising platforms.
Who touches your data
- Supabase — database hosting (AWS infrastructure).
- Twilio — sends the text messages, once the messaging campaign is
registered and approved.
- Railway — hosts secretcharacter.dev.
Each of these processes your data only to deliver that service to us, under contract.
None of them may use it for their own marketing. We have no other recipients:
we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties
for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
- Sign-up record: as long as you are on the Arcade Arena list, plus 30
days after you opt out.
- Consent records: 6 years after the last message we send you, which is
what the compliance rules require.
- Opt-out records: kept indefinitely, so we never text you again without
a fresh opt-in.
Your choices
- Stop the texts: reply STOP to any message. Reply
HELP for help.
- See what we hold: email us and we will send you your record.
- Delete it: email us. We delete everything except the opt-out record
and the consent evidence we are required to retain.
- Fix it: email us if a number or name is wrong.

"Arena privacy" in the subject. We reply within 45 days, usually much sooner.
Age
Arcade Arena sign-up is not for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information
from anyone under 16 — tell us and we will delete it.
